Is the Cougar a naval version of the Super Puma? I always thought that the Cougar (AS532xx) is an updated military version of the Super Puma series(AS332xx), and comes in both land and naval versions.Originally posted by Manager433:COugar is the naval version of Super Puma.

Attach aircraft? U mean attack aircraft?Originally posted by touchstone_2000:Does that mean Singapore is going to try for the Penguin ASM again. For newbies, we were rebuffed once when we tried getting it for the F-16.
To date IIRC we don't have any attach aircraft armed with anti-ship missiles.
The Fokker MPA armed with Harpoon don't count. As that will be the first aircraft any one will shoot down.
I wonder are we going to get the anti ASW suite, as the Americans are very touchy about submarine warfare.
we also got our Skyhawks for US$1 each.Originally posted by Manager433:One country in east asia got their trunks for only US$1 each. There r many things you didnt know!
Manager it not that we dun believe you,Originally posted by Manager433:So no one believed wat I said huh? ABout the US$1 truck.....ok here it goes:
I went for my first ever overseas training way back in mid 1994. I was the advanced party together wif some regulars. Based in Ta-Pu camp...went for some orientation driving wif a Ma-Lao NCO sitting behind our rover...he kept saying how good performance of the rover compared to their ageing tonner trucks which was sold to em for US$1 each in the 70s.
The reason so cheap was because in the 70s when the US pull out their troops there, the US didnt want to 'withdraw' those heavy trucks so as a good will, they decided to sell to the Mao-Lao Armed Forces for US$1 each.
He even told us more info about their HAWK AAM...sorry guys, secret info so no no say here.
