Beach Assualt equipment in SAF

I am aware that the responsibility of attacking a beach front lies with the Guards and support from the RSN and RSAF. They will use LSV and A vehicles like the AMX-10. The RSAF will provide Super Pumas for heli insertions and overhead air-cover in the form of the AH-64D Apaches. The RSN will provide the transport in the form of the fast craft and maybe the LST. My question is that what if we are required to attack a beach by surprise and over a long distance away? Using the LST may take too long. Do we need the large hovercraft such as those from the Russians for rapid troop transport and eventual assault over water? I have noticed that we do have hovercraft such as at the SAF ferry terminal at Changi,does the SAF owns that? The book by Tim Huxely also mentioned that Singapore have engage in research of hovercrafts before. Please enlighten me,thanks

SAF used to experiment with a hovercraft but think they abandon it. due to the high maintanace and the sea states surround SG I think.
the hovercraft can still be seen btween CNB and TUB some of the time. -
how bout pre-emptive strikes by air/sea to soften the lz and then after that inserting the guards by heli by helos.. hey we've got new s-70s anyway..

actually its very simple. our ships sail near to the beach, then transform into mecha form and walk onto land from shallow water. A 30m tall towering mecha ought to scare the Shit outta anyone.
