can bring mp3 player into camp?

  heyz pple, i am enlisting in bmt next few months.. am thinking of buying mp3 player but dont know whether can bring it in... can you all reply? what is the situation in dere like now?
  if in bmt cannot bring, nxt time go unit can bring?

  well 1st time yr sgt will prob keep for u, 1st bookout return to u ask u bring home dun bring back. if u persist on bringing it back in, and get caught, it can be anything from informal punishments like signing extra, to formally being charged with disobedience of lawful orders

  You'll quickly learn about an unwritten rule in the SAF (also known as the SAF 8th Core Value): Do whatever you want, but don't get caught. I expect that your BMT instructors will be telling you this over and over again in the course of your BMT.
  
  All forms of removable storage media are not allowed in camp. Since MP3 players can double up as thumb drives or portable hard disks, they are not allowed as well. You can try to smuggle them in and out of camp, but if you do get caught.... what can I say.... tough luck.

  BMT schedule v tight! Got time to listen to MP3 or .....?
  The only thing u want to do is SLEEP because ur so tired and u will find time is so precious.

  ok back to topic. MP3 players like the iPod are not allowed because they can download files from computers. some handphones that can download from computers like n-gage are not allowed too. CD-R/RW are also not allowed. same goes for handphones charger all that.
  
  but all this depends on your camp/unit's standing orders lah. and whether the RPs are doing their jobs or not when u all book in...

  Bring a small flash-based mp3 player. Easier to hide. Get Creative's Muvo N200. Darn small, got FM and comes in several colors.
  
  (WHO'S NEXT TO LISTEN TO MP3 DURING BMT?! )
