2 red trucks., all windows sealed. Everything, head to toe, in bright red. There are grills at any glass surface.. like prison trucks.. And 1 big police van. Hopefully its normal deployment but usually its unusual to see them in the city area. I only see them during Thaipusam ... -

Hmmmz....hey guys,am curious..Remember the SQ hijacking incident?I understand that SOF was sent in,not STAR.Now I'm seriously wondering,lets say some tango group takes over Parliament Houseee during a Parliamentary session,who gets sent in?SOF or STAR?
Under which conditions are the units sent in?And also,lets say a situation of a cargo ship being hijacked happens in S'pore waters,so who would be sent in to save the day?SOF,NDU or STS? -
red trucks arent STAR....theyre probably SOC...maybe the guys from the singapore police force forum can confirm this

i thought the red trucks are SOC? anyway, an old friend of mine is from there. dont know if this is true, but he said they're also issued with tiger stripes.

hmm good question. i think it'd be sof, cause of the nature of the incident and the people involved. and if it's in the waters then it'd prolly be STS cause that's what they're there for. they have the training to deal with such cases, whereas star's primary role is to (im assuming) deal with homeland threats. -
