There was an Avimo plant which made it but they closed down years ago, I'm not sure if the leica plant makes it.
But anyway not legal to be sold here, bring in from airport also cannot, but I've seen some department stores in serangoon selling a scaled down version of night hawk and they display it quite openly. -
why would u want them for anyways?singapore is so lighted up already,just by wearing and using it u'll prolly spoil them...maybe?

those that are displayed openly are of shit quality. prolly gen I or II. the ones that you really want are the gen III with the 'flash-protection' device or whatever they call it. i believe gen Is & IIs not equipped with those.

I'd say, there's no requirement for military grade NVGs if you want to catch some excitement at east coast or changi or whatever... you just need your regular camcorder (with night function) and and a really bright IR torchlight. It will do as a substitute.

i know that Sheares regulates the IR filters for my SF lights.

II+ and definately III have circuits to shutdown or block out in case of bright lights.
i used level 3 in mil sim's against opfor using some painful surefires, i didnt have a problem.
level 1 is the usual that you can get in the street - surely these level 1's, even old russian level 1's, are legal in singapore? -

MIL/LE would only be using nvg at level 3 and above though..
level 1 is practically nothing - same tech employed in kit thats no better than kids toys these days.
In the US for example level 3 and above are restricted, everything below that is considered okay for public usage. -

I believe that he did not mention anything about acquiring the NODs that the SAF has..
Wth do you need an NOD anyway?
