Vocation: Pioneer 'S'

guys.. just got my posting. I am a Pes A, Silver for IPPT. A lvl grad. Have a few questions, don't mind can help me out can?
1. You are posted to HQ SCE.
2. Your vocation is PIONEER 'S'.
3. Your are to report to: Seletar Camp, BLK 1171, ALPHA COY.
Does anyone have any similar vocations or heard from friends about this?
Pls advise:
1: basically this is being a Combat Engineer right? What does this group of soldiers do? Xiong not?
2: Is this a stay in vocation?
3: Prospects how? Can only be promoted to highest a CPL right? -
what.. 35 sce that camp u wounld even want to dream of going inside.... the bunk look like beggr house sia... so torn...lol.. good luck lah boy.. ORD LOR!!!

35 yah... will good/fun after you pass the course...
you will be out in the sea most of the time...
siong during the course, after that... hey it the sun, sea and the sand...

Out in the sea? You mean this SCE unit is responsible for establishing a beach head for a sea assault? I am not very familiar with beach assault procedures can someone with this field of knowledge please enlighten me?

is there any way that can allow us to indenitfy each other on Monday?
erm heard that there's 39 SCE & 35 SCE in the seletar camp. Y r u ppl so sure that i'm going into the 35 one? From the above posts, i can most definitely tell that the rest of my NSF is going to be hell.

U r going 39SCE to do some chemical defence stuff... there are few chances of getting 3 stripes... but unlikely to go OCS fr there......

btw, going to SCE doesn't necessarily mean hell......
