there's a particular brand that can be worn for 30 days straight, even to sleep.Originally posted by palmerised:I've worn mine for one and a half weeks. Couldn't open my eyes after that. Mind you, that was in school.(wanted to find out how long they can last ala 'lazy to take out' )
Anyway I think he's just curious, hence, the question. Unless I am missing out on something here? Like, he's asked this question before or something. Not that I haven't seen any of his other cocky posts lah.

i used to wear that before i went for lasik.
sometimes i forgot about it and i end up wearing it for 40-45 days.
it get's real icky around the 28-35th day though, and if you have dry eyes, falls out really easily.
I am really old soldier era ! Even in my reservist in the 90s, I missed range for various reasons. But during my NSF time in the mid 80s, Mindef realised that the range test that was conducted was rubbish. It was composed of static shooting, eg at 300 m in foxhole etc etc. It was only one aspect of actual combat shooting, which everyone knows is mostly shooting at moving targets, on the move, behind cover and probably close ranges from 100m down to 20m.Originally posted by iveco:Meaning it was the grand daddy of the Stage B shoot?

I don't mean the stylish dark glasses worn by the US troops in Iraq.....these are for them to hide their identity so that the freedom fighters cannot identify them for punishment //trial in a war crimes court after the end of the conflict......

Anyway. with the gun in your hand. Just shoot. Don't need to see clearly.
bullshit lar...the shades filter out the glare...makes a person acquire targets clearer and faster....its practical...rather than hiding their identity..Originally posted by idwar:I don't mean the stylish dark glasses worn by the US troops in Iraq.....these are for them to hide their identity so that the freedom fighters cannot identify them for punishment //trial in a war crimes court after the end of the conflict......

If you can't even handle a rifle, it doesn't matter if you need glasses or not..Originally posted by idwar:Have you ever seen a Malaysian/UK/China/ Korean soldier wear glasses?

Of course, our good friend idwar is THE one who really needs specs here.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:Have anyone noticed that he deliberately left out the US Army?Intense media coverage, especially of the seige of Fallujah would have turned out quite a few shots of Army boys with SPECTACLES on while storming buildings.
Now who's the one that needs specs?
