Is it true that semi auto is used when chargin up and full auto is used only when helicopters or airplanes pass by just to spray at them.Is the recoil for full auto really that high?than how come even in real news coverage i hear full automatic ak47s and m4s being fired and even hit targets accurately. Please enlighten me on this. Thanks very much
Charging ! There are 2 military thoughts on it, some teaches auto when charging the enemy - reason is to bring masses fire upon the enemy who is firing at you as you charge, the thought is to hopefully kill them first, however, it is dangerous as all the team rifles will be totally empty and need to change magzine at the same time which expose them to fire from any alive enemy.
So there is a new thought, that teaches a well train team of soldiers will have 1/2 of them on auto and 1/2 of them on semi-auto, this still bring massive fire on the enemy, but also cover the fact that you may not kill all enemy on the initial charge, those shoot semi-auto still have some rounds leave to take out any enemy that is still alive and cover those with auto on just now as they put new magzine in guns.
M16 or M4 , usually the auto fire is quiet controllable is shoot by a well train soldier. More rifle even if 7.62 - Ak47 when auto is shoot properly usually the first few rounds will be on target. The recoil for m16 or m4 will not be much, but AK47 will expect more.
