Astros 2!!!
It is unguided rocket, if it is guided , it will be called a missile!!!
You dun even know the different between rocket and missile!
Anyway , we have this little discusson on the Astros 2 here long time ago.
It is proven to be a unguided system without any trajectory correction, such technology is already considered obsolete in today standard.
Such system will have a CEP of at least 1% of range, it might be even worst, afterall the Brazilian dun even dare to boost abt it!
For example the similar old Russian Uragan system has CEP of 1%, likewise for the Chinese WS-1B.
So for benefit of doubt , let say the CEP is 1% of range, at range of 89km:
50% of it with error of 890m,
32% with error within 890m~1.78km,
14% with error of 1.78~2.67km
& lastly 4% with error of 2.67~3.56km!!!!
Thus at 89km , unguided rocket system is totally useless tactically.
In fact if it target Woodland, it might even hit JB!!! -

Getting the unguided rocket w/o trajectory correction like the SS-60 and SS-80 is tactilcally useless beyond 40km becos of the poor CEP
The Brazilian talk abt the guided long range system since the 90s, so far not sure any have been fully developed.
Anyway , the Brazillian will not export any becos the Brazil is trying to join the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), which mean restricting the spread of long-range missiles.

Malaysia is the only export customer for the SS-80 rocket, thinking they could get hold of the longer range AVMT-300 tactical missile(range 300km tactical cruise missile) that was developing, so MAF bought the Astros 2.
Now I think goondu MY's officers might feel thay have swindled by the promise of such long range tactical weapon which will never come!!! -
