No one is going to tell you that they have broken 2048 in the forum.Originally posted by one-niner:Encryption...powerful stuff...well i don't noe how the Singapore Missions communicate, but i do belive if they want to send classified data back to singapore. certain encryption procedures is flowed. could be a public key encryption algorithm taliored to the needs of the Singapore Government.
Cracking such code is possible but i think by time we know the contents its a few hundred yrs later. Anyone who has did basic network security subjects in poly or uni should noe the amt of computational power needed to deciper the text.
And ppl from MIT and Stanford are researching into new ways of data representation in base 16 and 32 bits. As our world is still using binary as our basic data representation
Any one broke the 2048 bit RSA key yet ?
Sorry but i don't understand why would the Soviet be interested in conducting espionage in tiny Singapore. What useful information could they get out of Singapore? Singapore is just a tiny little country which is of no threat to the Soviet Union.Originally posted by idwar:In 1982, the ISD exposed and expelled two Russian spies for espionage activities in Singapore. One was Anatoly Alexeyevich Larkin, a Soviet military intelligence (GRU) officer, who attempted to cultivate a SAF army officer holding the rank of 2nd Lieutenant to conduct espionage against the SAF. The other was Alexander Alexandrovich Bondarev, another Soviet military intelligence officer, who was sent to take over a Soviet spy network which had a local agent working for it since the 1970s................
.........I wonder if Ivan Bond 008 is still in SAF?.....
.Mat Bond?........
