I thought NTU has been developing something like this for the past 5 years at least? (I was still an undergrad there when it already started). What came out of it?

when I was still there (mid-late 90's) it was still known as mechnical and production engineering and it was sort of like, a dumping ground for people who can't make it to civil or electrical engineering...
