Anyway, schools are hard to penetrate now. They have guards on patrol and CCTV monitors. -

Well,its just that I feel some of the really target rich areas for the tangos are so open to access.And that although to most,harm to a country is a physical thing,like blowing up buildings,killing people etc.But has it occured to you that there are virtual enemies who no doubt have the capability to penetrate in our midst and steal economic information etc.?
Also,the fact that our economy is very much vital to us,imagine what a single tango act will cause upon the country? -

Well, targeting singapore's commercial sector would, imo hurt singapore more than targeting a HDB block. This is because Singapore is very dependent on foreign investments. The idea should be to hurt as much people as possible, get as much exposure as possible, and hurt Singapore as much as possible.
Targeting an office block in the CBD that is full of foreign companies would acheive all that because:
1) These companies can move to another country fairly quickly. Singapore is used as a distribution base for many MNCs.
2) Hitting foreigners mean that there will be greater news coverage in their respective countries.
3) Office blocks are only slightly less dense than HDB blocks.
So basically, i think an armed presence in our office district is very much needed to harden the target. -

Truth be told, terrorists can strike nearly anywhere in Singapore and still accomplish their objective of creating mass panic and substantial civillian casualties. It doesn't necessarily have to be some sensitive installation or something.... a suicide bomber with explosives strapped to his body can cause massive damage if he sets it off at, let's say, Orchard MRT at 6 pm.
I'm not giving the tangos a list of targets.... I'll personally rip them limb by limb should they ever try to do anything like that on Singapore soil. -

Did you guys watch that video they found - I think in Afghanistan or something?
It was made by by moslem guys living in Singapore. They filmed a bus stop and a MRT station, can't remember which one. These are places where US servicemen from visiting ships would use.
A voice on the film mentioned where explosives could be placed and remotely detonated.
One was a bicycle park just outside the MRT station, and another was the drainage hole just below the bus stop.
So, as you can see, these chaps know their business very well. I don't think anything anyone say here is not something they haven't already thought of.
Besides killing, a major aim of terrorist attacks if they ocur in SG will be to destabilise our society and put fear into a population. So they will strike where people least suspect. And they will also look for very soft spots. They will avoid all hard targets.
Another aim of terrorist attacks will be to divide us as a people. They would want to divide us along racial and religious line. The cracks are already there. If they can get us to distrust the Malay/Moslems again then our society will come close to chaos again like it did in the 60's.
The SG government is all too aware of this weakness in our multi-racial society.
When SG rushed to the aid of the Acehnese after the tsunami, I think it was a very good PR campaign. Kind of like a "hearts & minds" thing to show the moslem world that though we love Israel, we don't hate moslems. -
I disagree that these guys know their business well. The behavaed like lowly foot soldiers in that it is obvious they do not have any executive powers at all.
