Syrian commandos during the war in Lebanon with Israel wore a desert camouflage that's got pink colour in it. They were thus nicknamed the "pink panthers".

Any idea is the Benelli M3 used being loaded with Slugs or Buckshot?And considering that it is being used at a checkpoint,range would be a consideration as the driver may speed though the effective range of a shotgun. I do not see any of the troopers armed with the M203,I mean if you have a vehicle charging towards you,regular small armsfire from say M16,Car-15, SAR-21 will take a number of shots before slowing down the vehicle.And although there is a vehicle mounted GPMG,I doubt its ability to really stop any large vehicles like trucks etc.Maybe they should have a vehicle mounted CIS.50 to really provide firepower when the time comes.

well...read from a webby that the M3 is actually capable of 2 modes of operations.Semi-auto and pump-action.The switch is at the forward portion of the fore-arm.Using semi-auto mode is for slugs and buckshots,while the pump action mode is used for less-then-lethal ammunition.

Is it perhaps the idea of the higher ups to have the soldiers try and shoot out the tires? Hence the Shotgun?
