need advice from all who finished army and are in uni

is it true that students with only o lvl certs will get a tougher time? im in jc now and am thinking of quitting to go into the army first cause im set on applying to US unis and from what i found out a levels is not significant they only count SAT as the main entry exam so need your advice and opinions on making my decision guys. thanks.

Tougher time as in service? If you asked me, I say, everyone takes a piece of the same sh|t.

Applying as a Freshman
To be eligible for admission as a freshman (first-year student) at UC Berkeley, you must first complete a university-preparatory secondary school curriculum, and earn a completion certificate or diploma that leads to admission to a university in your country. This must be accomplished before the beginning of the fall semester you would enter UC Berkeley. SAT I and SAT II tests are required for all freshman applicants (see Required Tests). The TOEFL or IELTS test is required if English is not your native language (see TOEFL / IELTS).
Singapore: Three Advanced Level examinations are required for admission, with a grade of "C" or higher in each. The engineering degree programs at UC Berkeley are academic and research-oriented; students who have completed diploma programs after Ordinary Level examinations are not eligible for admission.
NOTE: Countries that Require Military Service after Secondary School: Students from countries that require entry into military service upon completion of secondary education should not apply until that obligation has been met. UC Berkeley does not defer admission to a later term.
NOTE: If you have completed post-secondary course work after graduating from secondary school, you are not eligible for freshman admission. You must follow the eligibility regulations for transfer applicants. -

alot depends on where you're posted to in the army... after all BMT is only 3 maybe 4 months depending on if u got gold or silver for your IPPT...
quiting JC to go to the army isn't a wise choice... cuz you'll only have a O level cert and that makes you eliable for mono intake as well..... go infantry die

no he attended JC so he'll be in the enhanced batch. unless his timing coincide with monointake. actually if you quite school now you don't have to go NS either unless you notify CMPB, otherwise they still think you're in JC

But I believe that it's almost impossible to get SIR to approve your bond if you are above 16.5.
