but who is your final judge? your GOD or your neighbour?Originally posted by Dr Who:Will you lay down your life if..after your sacrifice, your neighbour give thanks to his "false" gods for saving his condo, stocks and benz? ( please note that i am not saying his god is false, but that his religion is different from yours, and is officially considered as 'serving false gods' by your own religion)
Meanwhile, people say your own god did not protect you.....so you got killed....so his god is better (at your expense! )

Ethical considerations lead to portfolio changesfr http://www.dnbnor.com/en/default.asp?p=26000&ce=444870
Yesterday, 28 June 2005, DnB NOR Asset Management (of Norway)decided on changes in the portfolio of companies included in the DnB NOR Asia mutual fund, thus excluding the company Singapore Technologies, which is believed to continue to produce land mines to the country's national defence. By Tore Dyrdahl/Gina Fladmoe (29 Jun 2005)
Asset Management has recently been in dialogue with Norwatch (a news service provided by the organisation Future in Our Hands - FIOH) in connection with a review of certain companies included in DnB NOR's mutual funds. Parallel to this dialogue, Norwatch brought the issue concerning Singapore Technologies to the attention of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry. The latter party's interest in the matter sped up the decision on the portfolio structure in the Asia fund somewhat, but did not influence Asset Management's conclusion concerning the company.
The decision made on Tuesday, 28 June is based on a review of the overall structure of the fund in view of the ethical guidelines currently under preparation by Asset Management, which include the following statement: "DnB NOR Asset Management will not invest in companies that deliberately harm people or the environment or neglect democratic principles. These aspects must be considered prior to making investments. Assessments of companies the funds invest in must be based on their intentions rather than their past history."

Pol Pot: A deadly blend of Maoism and nationalismfr http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/78988.stm
Pol Pot's death in April 1998 heralded the end of the brutal career of a man responsible for overseeing one of the worst genocides of the 20th century.
Between 1975 and 1979 his regime claimed the lives of more than1 million people - through execution, starvation and disease - as the Khmer Rouge tried to turn Cambodia back to the middle ages.

what a waste!!! u shld be at IRAQ when the war started!!!!!Originally posted by Dr Who:In the ancient days, people kill because they had no choice....cannot run away.
Today we can always run to Australia, USA, China, Batam....if there is a war. Why fight? Only the rich and powerful will gain......you and I get nothing........we only get ourselves hurt so that others get rich........think about it and don't be fooled........don't you think you'll get a better life if you run? I should think so ! Our ancestors ran away from china , right? Now better life here, right?
Ignore him la.He's misinformed and misguided. If there's a war, we will kill the enemy and those who profit from our bloodshed.Including those who made us fight and never fought alongside us but chose to remain cushy.Originally posted by NDU:what a waste!!! u shld be at IRAQ when the war started!!!!!

MUM AFRAID TO CRYfr THE NEW PAPER.Who do I forgive--
'They hit me with an axe, pushed me to the ground, tied me up with rope and put me in jail. My mother was afraid to cry in front of them while they were torturing me. Crying was also a crime under the Khmer Rouge, ' he said.
Ten of his family members died for various 'crimes'.
A brother-in-law caught stealing garbage to feed his three children was beaten and died from his injuries.
His wife - one of Mr Chhang's five sisters - kept his body and did not report his death for a week so that she could collect his food ration for her kids.
SIS SPLIT OPEN, KILLED
She was later accused of stealing rice from a communal kitchen, and when she denied it, a Khmer Rouge cadre slashed opened her belly and killed her, said Mr Chhang.
His family members were among the 1.7 million to two million Cambodians - about a quarter of the country's population - who died (from 1975 to 1979) of starvation, or by forced labour or execution by the time the Vietnamese invasion in early 1979 toppled the Khmer Rouge.

However, if you invaded others' territory and rape their civillians, that is shameful. As for the lighthouse, it is currently being litigated at the International Court of Justice in Den Haag.
[b]I am the sinner and you are the Saint
You wont kill in war.Let others be the sinners and kill. Then Sg,hopefully, can win without some of u killing .The 'killers' may be feel guilty for life after the war.
U,the saint ,can continue with ur life smoothly without any guilt cos' u did not kill!!
But u enjoy the fruits of others' killing without any burden for life.
What a wonderful life for u saint.Would u feel shame if u would not kill and enjoy the winning of war?
