  wah, my unit also get best NS Inf unit. Can't imagine that. I remember 5 years ago, we're among the bottom. Must say that the new CO made a difference.

  At most money for a dinner, then for the men and junior officers, some of them most likely to kenna SAF Day parade or NDP, only people will benefit are the KAHs and the "seow" on CO which he will eventually be promoted Lt Col and post to Bde etc.

  Agreed.... but those fren last time in Guards , Commandos quite proud to get their best unit award...my fren an Officer quite proud to get recon 1 or something like that ...said cos he is instrumental in it ... in a way I respect him
  
  But for normal corporal soldier like me is like ... CO score point while we suffer ...for what rite???... all we want is long weekend and less duty
  
  But after they ROD 10 yrs later my fren mentality also changed and think like me liao!

  Amazing that an LST won the best ship this year instead of the MCV. Probably a first for the LST.
