Anyway, push-ups are definitely good to train up your arms strength and endurance. This is important if you want to pass you SOC when the first 4 obstacles which uses arms' strength and endurance.
Push-ups are nothing.
These I've tried, or should I say my ex-sarge tried them on me. Though they're tough, they help in my training.
You haven't try "bird-piece" (if I didn't spell wrongly). Its hard to describe...
You haven't try "roti-prata". Where it goes from crunches to push-up positions, back and forth between these positions and then having alternate leg thrust 20-40 counts of 4...
