  I don't think its in direct competition with the XM-8. The M-8 is supposed to replace their standard infantry rifle, the M-16 series.
  
  The HK-416 is actually more targetted at Special Ops inventory.
  
  I think Phoenix command is some kinda board game. The table is the "rules" or capabilities of the weapon in game.
