OMG... Rafale would have been a better choice. We are in transition to become a 4th generation or maybe 5th generation air force and yet we bought a 3rd generation aircraft. How this fits into RSAF future order of battle? With no 4G aircraft, how are we capable to fly 5G F-35 JSF??? Imagine F-15S vs SU-30MKM??? SU-30 more superior. Hope that US release all available software codes and PGMs to us in the package... -

I placed all my hopes on Rafale too... But I have every reason to believe the F15 deal is better for us since thorough review and evaluation has taken place. So let us just await the arrival of our eagles! But anyway, any standoff missles included in the deal? How about the EW suit. Anyone with info?
Anyway, I thought the rafale deal is better since we can have access to storm shadow and even develop the radar with the french. The frence also seem to offer a better tech transfer deal. So are you guys thinking of what I'm thinking too(the acquisition is based more on political factors than technical details)... -

So much for air supremacy... With a neighbourhood soon to be dominated by Su-27SKs, Su-30MKs and Su-30MKEs.
If country X acquires the Su-35 to counter our 'shiny new F-15T' it will be a nightmare scenerio for SAF planners.

I am greatly disheartened about the selection of the F-15T.
No longer has as much faith in our air force as before...
Even our navy made a wise choice in getting La Fayette class FFGs instead of some foolish 'old and proven technology'. -
