Both F-15B and F-15E have the same wingspan except for F-15U ( which never come true as selcted the F-16E/F by the UAE)...the only difference is their Gross Trust to weight .....F-15E is heavier as is meant for carry bombs and missiles.Originally posted by storm_freaky13:but i thought the F-15 E has a larger wingspan than the F-15 B because of the extra bombs?

The Su-27 solely designed to counter F-15s? Erm, on what basis did u come up with that? Sorry, I didn't know that the Flanker had such a sole purpose of existence.
The FoxBat and Foxhound was designed to counter US Supersonic Bombers, true. Hence it carries powerful radars, mach 3 capable engines, and Long Range missiles. But the Su-27? -

SU-33 is design to tackle F-15E
There is still no production russian capable to tackle F-22
But the final F-15 EOL upgrade package currently review by USA, Japan and Israel for a portion of their F-15, which include the same AGP-63v(3)AESA rader, more advanced avionics and trust-vector engine similar to the F-22 should handle the SU-33/35 with relatively ease

SU-33 is a carrier capable variant of the SU-27 platform.
Su32/34 is the strike derivative of the original SU-27 air superiority platform much like the F-15E/K/T is the strike derivative of the F-15B/D a2a platform. -

When I was a kid some Soviet pilot defected to Japan in 1976 flying one of these aircrafts.
This was taken apart and found to be very crudely made, using steel, rivets etc... Some speculated that the whole thing was a scam and that the Soviets purposely built a crude version and then let it be "defected" to the West to fool them etc...
Still, an Iraqi Foxbat was acknowledged with one F/A-18 Hornet confirmed kill during the 1991 Gulf War.
The Syrians claim to have shot down F-15's but the US continue to claim that NO F-15 had been lost in combat - EVER.
The MiG-25 is still considered one of the fastest jets in the world today. -
Mig-25 Foxbat
Originally designed to intercept the XB-70 Valkeyrie (spelling) supersonic bomber. Instead the XB-70 was intercepted by Congress after a mid-air with its chase plane.
Subsequent detailed evaluation of the aircraft reveals that it was designed for at most 2 pass at the target aircraft before requiring refuelling.
The pilot relies on a lot on GCI as vision outside the cockpit very limited. -
F-15A's 1st flight was sometime in 1972, and considered the best fighter at the time, unmatched by any russian fighter. Su-27 1st flew in 1982 and was built to counter the threat posed by the F-15s'. Anyone knows wat could be the improvements made to the air-air capabilities of the F-15T compared to F-15C or E??? I think that would lie in the radar's ability to make a single sweep, then powering off to provide a clear air to air picture. It reduces the chance of the F-15E from getting detected.
The F-15C would have its radar continously sweeping to obtain its air to air picture.
Its not just a matter of ON/OFF, but the ability of the strike eagle to put its radar into standby mode, and sweep on demand.
Besides that, I'm not sure. Does the AMRAAM's Home on Jam feature count? -

AIM-120A is now out of production but is in service with Japan and South Korea in Asia, who were cleared to buy this key weapon in the mid-1990s.
We purchased two batches of AMRAAMs so far, 100 x AIM-120C5 in 2000
and 50 x AIM-120C5 in 2003.
It is unclear whether the 200 additional AMRAAMS ordered with the 8-12 F-15T are of the C5 or the even more advanced C7 version. -
I think it was the C. Perhaps the C5 would also have the HOJ feature.
Anyways, the AMRAAM is not the only dog that can Home on Jam. The R-77 can to do that too. How goes our neighbour's R-77 deal with Russia? Did they get any eventually? -
if i'm not mistaken, the AIM-120C-4 has a HOJ feature already, hence the C-5 should have it

Well,read somewhere that the Saudi F-15s have their jets configured in such a way that the pilot can actually increase the aircraft's speed by up to 15% if there is such a need. But once he activates this, not only does the jet burn more fuel, the engine will be required to be changed. Wonder is its true.

Actually F15T is a very powerful strike plane, it is capable to doing all the high g stunts even with full weapon load. In addition, the combat radius and loitering time is higher than the F16 and F18. This has given us a very key advantage when we perform long distance strike mission.

Singapore is the major oil refinery in the world, and one of the 3 oil trading centre on this planet Earth. So dun worry for oil lah, let somebody else worry about it loh.
Really excited by the F15T future upgrade; eg thrust vectoring engines. This F15T could serve us well into the mid 2030s with all the future upgrades, eg helmet mount sight, UCAV systems and maybe stealth technologies. -

That's why Sg is smart, we have so much foreign talents and $$$ in our country. Moreover, we have naval and aerial facility for Uncle Sam to use. If some stupid man try to play funny tricks on us, eg putting some of their rockets MLRS unit within 50Km from here, it will kenna alot of political pressure from Uncle SAM. Nobody can move anything under the nose of Uncle Sam w/o his approval, u know?
