Both F-15B and F-15E have the same wingspan except for F-15U ( which never come true as selcted the F-16E/F by the UAE)...the only difference is their Gross Trust to weight .....F-15E is heavier as is meant for carry bombs and missiles.Originally posted by storm_freaky13:but i thought the F-15 E has a larger wingspan than the F-15 B because of the extra bombs?
if i did not rmb wrongly, the israelis have also done the same feat wif a F-16?Originally posted by sbst275:But must be total replica mah
SU-27 is design to tackle F-15A/BOriginally posted by tyco_mun:F-15T being chosen probably shows that our airforces REALLY want to bomb the s*** out of somebody. Quite skeptical about the F-15 though, cos i thought we were looking for a fighter, not a bomber. Yes, F-15 can carry out air-air roles, but i also know that the SU-27 was solely designed to take out F-15's. Just hope that since we decided on the F-15, we buy damn a lot, and when a big one comes......it'll be 2 F-15T vs 1 SU-27/SU-30.

The MiG-25 Foxbat sure does bring back memories. (Isn't "Foxbat" the coolest name for a secretive fighter?) At that time the west thought they didn't have a plane that could match the capabilities of the Foxbat.Originally posted by storm_freaky13:but i thought the F-15 E has a larger wingspan than the F-15 B because of the extra bombs?
Anyway who still uses Mig-25? shd be SU-30.. i guess f-15 wanna catch them got a teeny weeny bit of a problem in dogfight.
F-15A's 1st flight was sometime in 1972, and considered the best fighter at the time, unmatched by any russian fighter. Su-27 1st flew in 1982 and was built to counter the threat posed by the F-15s'. Anyone knows wat could be the improvements made to the air-air capabilities of the F-15T compared to F-15C or E??? Besides AESA of course....Originally posted by Shotgun:The Su-27 solely designed to counter F-15s? Erm, on what basis did u come up with that? The FoxBat and Foxhound was designed to counter US Supersonic Bombers, true. Hence it carries powerful radars, mach 3 capable engines, and Long Range missiles. But the Su-27?
the Home on Jam feature, if i'm not wrong, it came on the C* version of the AIM-120..? which is like it's onli available on the newer models while we're using the AIM-120A now? or have i messed it up yet again?Originally posted by Shotgun:I think that would lie in the radar's ability to make a single sweep, then powering off to provide a clear air to air picture. It reduces the chance of the F-15E from getting detected.
The F-15C would have its radar continously sweeping to obtain its air to air picture.
Its not just a matter of ON/OFF, but the ability of the strike eagle to put its radar into standby mode, and sweep on demand.
Besides that, I'm not sure. Does the AMRAAM's Home on Jam feature count?
We are using the AIM-120C version of the AMRAAM.Originally posted by Lance_han:the Home on Jam feature, if i'm not wrong, it came on the C* version of the AIM-120..? which is like it's onli available on the newer models while we're using the AIM-120A now? or have i messed it up yet again?![]()
*is there such a designation for it? as in AIM-120C AMRAAM?![]()
I seriously IAF SU30/35 thrashed USAF F15 or our Viper ...they just talk big ba or they lose deliberately to the host IndianNvr underestimate ur opponents......
In term aeronautics design the SU probably beat the americans but in term of avoinices American would have the upper hand

yaya...also high fuel consumption.......more people are crying for oil/fuel now.......Originally posted by kotay:I would guess that the RSAF's requirements (which none of us are privy to) is for a strike aircraft and in that the F-15 is the best candidate ... longer legs and heavier payload?
