The medic in my platoon, probably can't give anyone an IV either. And some riflemen in my reservist platoon have very low IQ. At 30 years old still don't know how to clear an IA and many can't pass their CTSS. The SAW gunners are all bobo kings. Since u know there ppl who are alreayd inapt at this kinda stuff, why expand the population by making all females train to be paramedics? One does not need to have special talents to be a soldier. Tell me, wat kinda special talents does one need to lead a more disciplined and regimented life style? If a dog can also be trained in obedience school, a normal human being cannot learn how to be more disciplined in the army meh?
I've seen enuff examples in the army where ppl can actually stay out of trouble if they just shut up and do their job. Its those ppl that keng here keng there that make all the other ppl dulan.

i think the main gist of recommending women serving NS is to make them more grateful for what we have, not to take things in life for granted etc etc, while at the same time teaching them skills which will be helpful in times of trouble. tts my opinion what u guys think?

what piss me off is that some of the women whom obviously did not serve ns think they have the right to talk abt it and post letters in the newspapers and even dare to bitch about nsmen whiny like that female scholar. Let see who whines the most if these ppl get conscripted and i get to command them
personally conscription is a violation of rights and i am against it, be it men or women. But i will be extremely supportive of women like chng zhen zhi and lena soh to be conscripted

While I do not think that making women perform Military National Service is the best or only way of enforcing empathy, understanding or patriotism, I do feel that women SHOULD have some form of enforced "National Service" in fields such as teaching, nursing, community work, volunteer work, etc.
It will help to make them better mothers, better partners and better citizens. -

i think the problem is that, in this sad hell hole we call a nation and a society, people seemto have been brainwashed so severely that they all think military service is the ONLY way of serving a country. And that leads to severe jealousy about anyone who doesn't need to serve. If u have to serve, take it like a man, be gracious and stop whinning about making others who don't serve, serve. If its as good character building for u, then be happy you went thru it, feel sorry for those who didn't, and thats it. No need to keep being bitter about others who don't serve. I mean, if u are bitter about it, doesn't that just show it didn't really build character and that u're just lying about it? That, i believe, is called hypocrisy. Open your minds people. Service to a nation is more than just military service. And stop being bitter about those who don't have to serve. U are all just sounding more and more like programmed robots without the capacity for independent thought -

In Israel, women must serve their NS term in military...why can't Spore do that?
