Not sure about the blackeye on the recoil...Originally posted by lwflee:Got this rule meh? No one told me!
Logical though - Otherwise the recoil will give you a black eye everytime you fire!
Proves that i am a thinking soldier. I used the scope correctly w/o being told how to.
Because it's a magnified scope, there is a optimal focusing distance. Nearer than that, the picture that one see is not complete, i.e., edge is missing. Further than that, the picture presented is too small. So it is typically more reflexive for your eye to focus at the same particular position. Play with it next time, you get a feel for it.Originally posted by Shotgun:Not sure about the blackeye on the recoil...
Its not possible to bring ur eye right next to the scope... it would result in a very awkward posture. Cos the Sar-21 is a bullpup, the posturing is very different from the M-16. Its a bit more hunched and elbow's more closed...so trying to put ur eye nearer to the scope.. well would probably mean u have a very long neck. Or an aching one after that
Is it? My time my S3 asked us commanders to remove.Originally posted by pqr:they have allow it since few years ago...
active NSF can confirm
Your S3's a stick in the mud then - probably some scholar type who always coloured within the lines as a child. As far back as 1991 I was wearing sunnies in the field.Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:Is it? My time my S3 asked us commanders to remove.
So its more to do with the weapon being fool-proof and less to do with my natural potential to be a thinking soldier then? ...Originally posted by Shotgun:Not sure about the blackeye on the recoil...

when you're reluctantly thrown into a foreign country, you could care less.Originally posted by MobyDog:That Aussie on the right sure looks abit out of shape.
BTW, why no one Fcuk the Aussie civi helpers, don't SAF NCO and Officers could be charged for allowing that ?
Indeed? Is the point of the shoulder where the butt sits perfectly rigid? One would be hard-pressed to imagine that the muscle tissue in the deltoid lacks the hardness of a brick, and therefore some shift occurs when the force of recoil is applied to it. This applies to a greater extent with sniper rifles, but even with an automatic weapon the weapon will shift slightly.Originally posted by tvdog:If you're an experienced shooter your whole body moves with the recoil.
No...Originally posted by banzie:is that stryer Aug? Malaysian Aussie and NZ uses Aug too.
