now this is why I agree that a man should be allowed to carry arms to defend his home.Originally posted by davechng:I own the Steyr AUG -A2 and have use it on occasion of mag dumps, we did like 6 30 rd mags and 3 42 rd mags one after the other with no probelm. the barrel seems to hold up very well.
However, the plastic on the rifle do not hold up very well! i have 2 occasion where the hot empty brass eats into the ejection area
's plastic.

I love guns but I'm sorry, this lot here is for home protection? Exactly what threat are you expecting?Originally posted by LazerLordz:

Even when it comes to home protection, it's alway nice to have a choice!Originally posted by tvdog:I love guns but I'm sorry, this lot here is for home protection? Exactly what threat are you expecting?![]()
Climb to the roof or attic and throw a molotov cocktail down. Cheap alternative to an RPG.Originally posted by martin_lim85:wat happen if a tank park in front of ur home door?![]()

If you plan to shoot up your home during a burglary with all that weaponry you may consider that it is cheaper to just let the burglar carry away your TV and hifi.Originally posted by davechng:U never know what you gonna expect.. I guess you can only prepare for the worst!
to me a worst scenario is that I will need my Steyr AUG or M4 or MP5 with my 9 fully loaded 30 rd magazine! and backup with my Glock 34 with 3 15 rd mags!

Realistically speaking, this loadout is alright if you live near the border, with threats from the Mexican runners who traffick drugs and illegals across the border, or if your neighbourhood is under threat from frequent turf wars between druggies.Originally posted by tvdog:If you plan to shoot up your home during a burglary with all that weaponry you may consider that it is cheaper to just let the burglar carry away your TV and hifi.
BTW, what kind of a situation is this "worst case scenario" that may cause you to resort to your AUG or M4 or MP5 AND your Glock 34... I'm interested as having lived in SG, HK and SH, they are all pretty safe places - especially from home invasion - unlike the US for example.
Um, I hope you're not confusing davechng's collection with mine. I'm not situated next to the volatile Tex-Mex border, so I have no need to keep my rifles at the ready to fend off an invasion from the south.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Realistically speaking, this loadout is alright if you live near the border, with threats from the Mexican runners who traffick drugs and illegals across the border, or if your neighbourhood is under threat from frequent turf wars between druggies.
But, Meia is a gun enthusiast, so yeah.. if it were me, I'd have a collection too.
Btw, MG, do you know what's happening with Los Zetas around the southern borders?

As for situation ! anything can happen,, say a Hurriance like Kathrina in New Orleans! Tornado or a RIOT when your local law enforcement is overwelm and or run away! Well! its comes down to Mano an Mano! man to man type defence at its most basic ..
[/b][/quote]kopi money perhaps ? ...Originally posted by tankee1981:Its kind of a weird move by the MAF as most countries are moving away from the M16 and its derivatives there they are now buying them now. I am not saying that the weapons are lousy but it doesn't make sense to dump a relatively new weapon (Steyr AUG used for only 15 years) to be replaced by a weapon of an older model. Further more other users of the Steyr AUG such as Australia are still using them without any problems. So what exactly is the root of the problem?![]()

What if it were? Would you feel comfortable being around an individual who exercises poor trigger discipline while wielding a loaded firearm?Originally posted by martin_lim85:its not even loaded
