Bangladesh and Myammar is certain... some go as far as to speculate that Sg was arming the Balkans while arms embargo and ethnic cleansing was going on there tooI saw in some newsreel years back showing Croatia militia marching with Ultimax LMGs. I think there's also some 2nd hand Ultimax for sale from Balkans too - 100 pounds if I remember correctly.
I saw in some newsreel years back showing Croatia militia marching with Ultimax LMGs.If I can recall correctly - the Sg sold Ultimax , Armburst LAW & SAR rifles to Croatia Police Force / National Guard.
And laser51088, u sell atomic bomb right?Originally posted by laser51088:yep, Sg deals alot in small arms, esp. assault rifles, the SR88 has turned up in middle east as well if i'm not wrong, not bought directly from sg, but smuggled there

ST, for all its pretensions of a company with diverse interests like engineering, automotives, aerospace, etc, etc, is an arms-runner.As for your above statement, better hope that you will not be receiving lawyers letters![]()

Originally posted by CX:Sorry guys, all wrong. Din sell any guns to myanmmar ... only sold some old tooling equipment used for manufacture. Packed in aluminium foil then shipped out ... other words, we sold them a plant (source janes def)... but I think it's good, give the guys up north something to think abt.

did i say UN arms embargo???
There is an EU embargo and a US embargo and that already rules out all the western suppliers... sure, they could still buy from russia, china and all alternative sources but would you be surprised if they did????
so unless u categorise Sg as being one of those "alternative" sources who has absolutely no moral qualms about selling anything to anybody (which is actually precisely the case)....
some people (not me...) are still under certain illusions that Sg has yet to lose its innocence...

dey shud make 40mm thermobaric ammo then supply to the americans. I hear they are seriously considering to use them. We can make a killing for them to make a killing.Originally posted by buzz:You are referring to Avimo, right??? Also read about the RBS70 scandal that caused the Bofors boss to be assasinated......
Actually ST should look into weapons for peacekeeping purposes: How to adapt the SAR 21 or other assault rifles into a weapon for suppressing rioters etc......
I think rifle launch projectiles of one sort or another is the way to go. Instead of firing bullets they should be used to launch nets or baseballs or something.
There must be something in the works by now. Anyone has seen anything from ST???
The recent thing in Russia should be a pointer too. Instead of powerful gases that knock people out maybe something else that can reach out to the animal instinct in all of us.......make them horny or something!
It will take at least one useful hand busying away for long enough to do a full commando assault!!! Just joking please!
I saw that crime watch episode and I remember the suspect say that he bought the guns from Thailand. Well, how they got it to singapore is another thing...Originally posted by Moonstriker:xiao long nu: singapore dun sell guns.. its illegal... how they manage to bring in? DUH... smuggle lah... security wasn't always this tight u know... we got osama to thank if the queue for the metal detector is now several km long cos they're scanning everybody and everything just in case we're carrying bombs through woodlands checkpoint!Originally posted by superspitfire:I saw that crime watch episode and I remember the suspect say that he bought the guns from Thailand.
