but i agree... its true... they're quite "nua"... some would argue of course, that there's no need for them all to be beefcakes... they need brains, not brawns on board a ship.
My wish is to make Naval personnel into Superb men of brawn and brains... So we can fight on land and in the seas...
Since Singapore are expriencing lower birth rates and we need people to work outside to support the economy, why not implement this method so can achieve a stronger military where personnel are superb in many ways??
Btw I haven went through NS, but I would like to join the Navy if it's implemented
there's ultimately no need actually... why would u send sailors to fight on the shore? RSN ships are also highly automated so there really aren't a lot of men on the ships...
and u don't actually get a stronger army that way... u'll be wasting valuable time over 2.5 years training men to do things they won't ever need to do...
the 2.5 years is spent training men to know how to do what they are assigned to do VERY WELL... this is especially important on a ship where technical profiency is paramount.
