the fokker 50 MPA will be the one in shit if they were nearby i think. . .E-2C patrol round the clock, they will ALWAYS be one E-2C flying, i dunno abt the Fokkers.. .
and on ships they opreate in watches. . . 4 duty, 8 hours off, the 8pm-12am watch is usually the captain's. . . (at least in merchant ships, not sure abt naval ones) so if it really is the captain's watch, he is doubly screwed. . . -

But they could be in great danger. No body knows. The navy might be trying to cover up the status of the trapped girls. They've been trapped for more than 12 hours liao leh.......if you put in their shoes can you tahan?
Somehow I felt the RSN could have put in more on the rescue efforts.....even if the girls are ok.....such long rescue could weaken them.

Wow. Everything is gone. The rear has become scrap metal and the mast is gone. It will be hard to repair.

Just heard the latest report, one body has been found, efforts are still underway to rescue the other three....

it says that one of the 4 missing is found dead, not any of those trapped in the RSN vessel.
So i guess it is not the ladies trapped, but someone else who were missing after the collision.
The first time i heard about missing people. -

confimred: 1 dead (one of those alleged trapped), 3 missing (still pending rescue from the rear of the vessel) and 8 injured (5 discharged from Changi Hospital), 3 under observation.

Sorry for the losses of RSN men/women -such a freak accident which could be avoided if extreme cautions were exercised.Look at the Indonesian vessel size-i guess it is obvious the bridge wont be able to see a smaller vessel infront of its bow-but the questions is-why do RSN Courageous did not move aside?I mean the tanker certainly do not posses a 30 knots speed -but Fearless with waterjet could easily steer to the opposite direction?Could it be the SAF do not tell the full story?High sea anti terror hostile boarding maybe?
