Merchant ship hits S'pore naval vessel near Pedra Branca

present day ALL warships are no longer made of steel or iron...
their hull strength is technically slightly better then the nissan sunny on the singapore roads....
a direct collision with a container vessel... is like a nissan kenna rammed by a M1A1 Abram.... squeezish like a bug.....
Could it be... that the RSN ship radar was off?? since technically it is operating in contested water... and the captain might consider it prudent to operate without radar to hide its presence from you know WHO.....while relying totally on advance warnings from other arms of SAF if not the MPA with its "advance collision warning system"

The rescue effort is in changi naval base.....
WHY.......
WHY....... did RSN still deploy 6 more ships to the area plus RSAF assets as well??
i saw the video on interview with Tony tan.... when querried... he was shifting around... looking for a way out of that question....
IF as he claimed,..... the purpose of the deployment is for SAR.... i wonder wat is the ships and planes searching for???????
..... there are no missing personnel from RSN ... neither are there any missing person from the merchant ship.....
is there something else out there near pedra branca???
a malaysian sub?? ship?? special force personnel?? al-qaeda?? aliens?? sea monsters or wat??? that would need 6 warships and fighters and helos .... an invasion fleet??

Really, its really too early to speculate...many factors may come up as to why it happened. Courageous' radar off? Could not be...Is it the fault of the bridge crew of the Cargo vessel? We don't know...so its better to get informed through the media

It is general practice to deploy and cordon off the accident area for investigations to be carried out. Did they find the other 3 crew on the ship? They found one only. The other 3 could be still out at sea.
Also, looking at the pictures - the torpedo tubes and mistral SAM launcher are gone as well. Where do they keep the live ammo for the torpedo tubes and SAM?

The ship was towed back to Changi Naval Base and lifted so that the water could be drained. The rescue team gained access to the compartment where the servicewomen were sleeping. The divers found one body lodged between the bunks. We need to take further time to ascertain the location of the other 3 servicewomen. In the meantime, the search and rescue operation at the scene of the collision will continue. We have to be prepared for the worst. Our hearts go out to the families of the 4 servicewomen. The damage is extensive. Part of the rear of the ship was sheared off, while a lot of it was compressed. MINDEF, together with the SAF, PCG and SCDF will spare no effort in this operation. -

Like this one lah. The blame has to go to one person. Always like this and going to stay like this. Everytime there is something wrong, some one must be responsible. So? So? So what if the person is responsible? What's done cannot be undone...... -
