Interesting, that mig-29 was shot down by a HARM, and upon explosion, polymorphed into an Su-27.

that one that break isnt a Su-27....it is a MiG-29. The neck is tricky to observe but observe the tail part....

They haven't released any details about any package but only expressed interested in getting the Su-30. Wonder if they are getting the same MKI version Indian AF got. Perhaps we would see F35 enter into RSAF inventory (albeit they might once again only be in the US for training purposes) earlier than 2010-2015.
Then again, given hypothetically a Rafale purpose by the RSAF, I guess RSAF would go for the F3 version with the thrust vector M88-3 engines.

The Indian version of the Su-30 is fitted with some Israeli systems. For Malaysia to get that version, all the Israeli components will have to be replaced. Their Su-30 will have systems sourced from different countries, thus creating a huge logistical burden.

Malaysia currently has 17 Mig-29N/NUB. One crashed some time ago.

Gonna fix that soon, just managed to get a copy of Falcon.4. Have to do my "aerial" photography all over again... sigh.
Was hoping nobody would notice the HUD symbology. FYI, i was flying the viper in the IAF game when that shot was taken.
Oh, and it aint that realistic either... i touched the graphics with a bit of photoshop. Its amazing what a bit of blurring, lightings, and camera flare can do. =)
About that shot of the MiG-29, it looked like its in EAST MALAYSIA. Landed in certain airports there quite a few times. Perhaps they have a few there to patrol their border with Indonesia. -

Actually, the MiG-29 has a few interesting features that allow it to operate on some of the badly maintained air-strips. Eg, the intakes can close, and instead open up some inlets on the top of the intakes to suck in air, to avoid sand from gettin sucked into the engines off the strip.
That feature was made mainly cos the Soviet airbases were usually quite badly maintained, unlike the bases of the western countries. They are so clean and free of foreign objects (no sand no nothin no grass growin on them). Heck, they form a line to walk the runway every morning to check for deadly foreign objects that can get sucked in. -
That feature was deemed weight excessive and deleted on later versions of the Mig-29s. RMAF Migs dont have that feature.

See, one thing about air combat is that while getting all the hardware is good, the plane is only about as good as the hamburger flying it. And Singapore burgers are better...
