but since Sg does operate m60 hulls, its not inconceivable that we've purchased the upgrade package from israel for it as well.

MBTs can probably move just as well on our terrain and no, they will not sink into the ground anymore then they do in other countries...
The main issue here is probably the logistics and viability of maintaining a MBT capability... Maybe becos our army likes to think lighter is better when it comes to military weapons systems... for our needs I suppose...
I dun mind a light tank like the AGS light tanks which actually has better survibality with level 5 armour then an M-60 patton!
