Country could help to fund export version in return
Dassault is offering Singapore the option of investing in an upgraded multirole version of the Rafale in an effort to stay in contention in the country's fighter competition.
The French company is revising its response to last year's request for information (RFI) to include a proposal for Singapore to help fund the enhanced variant in return for a significant share of development work for local firms and a potential share of revenues from future export sales, say industry sources.guess is back on track again
we have een this debate for a veri long time liao.....though i admit the american planes is fantasic, but due to the fact that their onli current advance plane is onli F/A-22 and F-35, and their F-16 and F-15 undergo major upgrades, IMO i can onli c the EU planes more prospect in terms of customize upgrade and 100% tech transfer.Originally posted by foga:would singapore invest another huge amount of taxpayer's money into another fighter jet project after JSF? not to mention the ecnomy's not doing great?

na 10 cent minus 2.5 cents means.....
ok heres your 7.5 cents.
hmmm. . . like they said, in future they wanna operate only 2 types of aircraft. . . maybe the future inventory after the F-16 is phased out will be something like the Rafale and F-35 only. . . F-35 for attack, Rafale for knocking things out of the sky. . .so you invest in two aircraft, but if both are the only fighters in the air force, then why not?Originally posted by foga:would singapore invest another huge amount of taxpayer's money into another fighter jet project after JSF? not to mention the ecnomy's not doing great?
