Name your Frigate Competition.

  Hi,
  
  Are the six new RSN frigates named?
  
  If not let us name them... Delta class right. So maybe all start with letter "D"
  
  Daring (lead ship)
  Devastator
  Defiant
  Dagger
  Dominant

  RSN recently did quite badly (IMO) when it comes to naming ships. It cannot decide whether it wants to use an adjustive or verb or noun.
  
  Just the the MCV Victory class for example:
  
  1. Victory (n.)
  2. Valiant (adj)
  3. Valour (n.)
  4. Vigilance (n.)
  5. vengeance (n.)
  6. Vigor (n.)
  
  Here we see a ship name in adjective form in the mist of names in noun form.
  
  Take another example, the new Endurance LPD class, it consist of 4 ships with the names are (not necessary in order):
  1. Endurance (n.)
  2. Resolution (n.)
  3. Persistence (n.)
  4. Endeavour (n.)/(v)
  
  Here the names are consistently in the form of noun, which makes sense.
  
  I hope some RSN people will take note of this. BTW,

  Yeah. If want to name after past Presidents. they will have to be the Navy's best ships. Since the Frigates will be our most powerful and state of the art ships for a long time, can name them after our past presidents.

  Long time ago they had one naming competition for the "Victory" class corvettes also.

  YEAH! I agree with this one!
  except SR Nathan, depends on whether he has stepped down or not by the time the last ship arrives... I dun think it is fitting to name a ship after a current President.
  
  And abt naming a ship after SM LKY, erm... I'm not sure we should name a ship after Prime Ministers, who are above all still politicians and heads of government rather than heads of state. . .so no, I dun think a ship should be name after either PM GCT or SM LKY. . .

  "Top of the line" vessel named after a "bottom pinching Pres" ? Sure will do wonders for the morale of the crew of that ship.
