If they aren't, they would have been sold in Times Bookshops in S'pore. If you are asserting that his books are not credible because of his falling out with the Establishment, then you have committed the fallacy of subjective bias in your reasoning.

There are other books such as one by former NUS academic Christopher Lingle.
The polarization of political system in S'pore usually works one way: Us vs. Them. If that is the case, then wouldn't people who are critical of the system in S'pore effectively becomes "Them?" Former cartoonist Colin Goh would therefore be guilty of such a label, wouldn't it?

I believe a system needs to be criticized in order to improve.
I dunno...does all those housing estates names sound to 'ulu'? Aiyah...then I guess I'll have to stick with my favourite...RSS "Ang Sua."
Your points posted are much appreciated.
Francis Seow was the first(?) Attorney General of Singapore, and was educated in England, about the same time as LKY. His English is convincingly impeccable, and much of his writings on his experience are undoubtedly credible.
However, his support given to Devan Nair had to be given, as they are all fallen birds in the same respectable nest, and it will be pointless not to give support otherwise.
If one has not live through those early days of Singapore Politics, one can access the same speeches in the Straits Times archives, and it will be interesting walk down those memory lanes.
Verify the discovery by talking to anyone with experience and memory of the manner in which Devan Nair had talked down to Singaporeans, during his glory days as the Secretary-General of NTUC (not even a Cabinet Minister Without Portfolio), and as a Member of the PAP Executive Committee.
If one has to form one's opinion in one way or another, and not as a neutral writer - which I do not purport to be in all my postings on politics here - then I am guilty of having "committed the fallacy of subjective bias in your reasoning".
Great name RSS "ang sua" for the new La Fayette Frigates.....
