The one destroyed did not have the reactive tiles add-on armour that will protect them from RPG. Unfortunately, it was incidentally destroyed by RPG

If the US and British army is to go into urban warfare, I reckon they should quickly "up-armour" their APCs with the reactive armour just like what the Israeli did to their M113. The M113 are specially modified to take hit from RPGs and some less advanced ATGMs. The coalition APCs and tanks also should mount additional machine guns.
Perhaps US army could also field trial the OICW rifles (with prudence backup of M16/M203s). I also reckon to do FIBUA / urban warfare, the fire team needs more snipers - one should be able to easily call "god" to take out any bad guys hidding behind some concrete walls

This war will eventually be a street fight. For all the airstrikes and armor the coallition got...these will not win the war for them. Recall Battle of Stalingrad in WWII...Germans had Stukas, Panzers, Artillery while the Russians barely had enuf bullets and rifles to go around. Reactive armor on armor will stop the RPGS..but imagine this...mined roads...barricaded Iraqi tanks and suicide bombers. And we've not even touched on the WMDs that the coallition are wanting to destroy!!
Think the war is goin to turn into platoon-sized streetfights..block to block, door to door. Coallition troops are going to die at the gates of Baghdad. -
