I'm just not too sure about the Bionix ley...they were just testing it out in Oz in late 1997, and then shortly after I ORDed, the Bionix was commissioned. do note that the M113A1/2 is a 5 wheeled tracked vehicle while the one stated in the links (M113A4??) are 6 wheeled.Originally posted by Joe Black:Hi guys,
I have found more sites that suggested M113 upgrade. Perhaps SAF could consider some of these upgrades
1. M113A4 Stealth Armoured Fighting Vehicle:

2. M113 anti-tank variant with twin TOW(Spike for SAF???) and 0.5 gun.

3. M113 Amphigavin (Alligator) - Ocean swimming M113, liken the US Marine AAVP-7A

This will be useful to supplement the AMX-10s for the 21 Guards Div.
All these possibilities mean that SAF can potentially get a new lease of life from its large the M113 fleet. Not to mention, M113 could also be tasked with new roles currently not formulated in SAF, such as a mechanised air-defence platform, armoured arty rounds transported in conjunction with the new locally modified M109 SAF will soon be getting, engineering vehicle for laying mines or breaching mine fields, etc.
