Read it. Touching. Noticed that there is a large % of PNSmen in the crew.Originally posted by cavsg:This report gives an account of the initial rescue efforts for RSS Courageous on 3 Jan 03, as seen through the eyes of the Commanding Officer (CO), ASP Tan Wee Wah, and his crew on board SPF Coastal Patrol Craft PH50 Hammerhead Shark, the first vessel to reach the scene and attend to RSS Courageous.

aiya, because when you are at home, you called the Home Team, including SCDF. Mindef Ops Rm for external threats, how often do we encounter external threats when we are at home?Originally posted by Atobe:Always been told by parents to call "999" when in trouble, as it is so easy to remember.
Can anyone remember the 7 digit number to MINDEF Ops Room ?
There will normally be only 1 RSN vessel in the Singapore Straits at all times on routine patrol and Courageous happened to be the one on that day of the collision. On the other hand, there will be approximately 2 and more PCG craft out at sea at any time. Furthermore the manning requirement for each PCG craft is much lower than a RSN vessel and hence it is much easier for the crew to be recalled and for the ship to slip off.Originally posted by spencer99:It looks like PCG were at the scene quickly compared to RSN vessels. I wonder why?
At the time the tugboat arrives, only one RSN vessel the "Sea Hawk" is present.
OOOOOPS, yah. . . how could i miss it. .Originally posted by eurofighter:One of the Sea Wolf class MGBs.
