Which is better for the new RSN freight.
I think Aster 30 with barak will be the best for RSN freight. -

Not so sure.
I think the range were
Barak 10km
Aster15 30km
Aster30 80km
I think Barak and aster 15 within 10 km work almost the same way. They are able to react in a v fast time and turn at a very high G 15++, I think so.
Aster30 are good area defence even against ICBM. And the best is it about the sane size as aster15.
Correct me if I am wrong. Anyone has more information? -
Aster 15 shortest engagement range is 1.7km
Aster 30 shortest engagement range is 3 km -

Agree! SM-2 especially the ABM version is the way to go bearing in mind the ASTROS and the likes. Too bad the new frigates cannot take it.

Ya, that's provided it's still a 'LST'.......being a multi-role platform I believe it can be also be a replenishment craft or mini heli carrier. -

taking of cause AB to mean Anti ballistic,the one that they are using to test in their son of starwars program?
hmm.....yes the SM-2 will need to be hooked up to a Aegis system due to the fact that the SM-2 was built to engage multiple targets with the help of the Aegis unlike the SM-1 which could handle only 2 targets at a time at most -

Hmmm, heli carrier sounds like a damn good idea, stretch the thing, put all the control and electronics to an osland structure on starboard side, and u got urself a heli carrier as cappable as any other, phweeeee, why not? There are quite a few misconceptions here....
1. The Aster 30 has no anti-ballistic missile capability. The still notional Aster 45 is the missile which is slated to have such a capability.

Nope. Your plane which took off from KL cant even be seen by the radar on the ship in Tuas. (The horizon, remember?) So how to guide the missile to a hit? Unless you have a CEC capability onboard the ship and a Hawkeye.... -

well i dun think the data links between the Asters firecontrol and the Hawkeye is not available yet.
