Well in terms of pure numbers and technology Singapore is number 1 but in terms of 1 on 1 situation i'd rank Thailand number 1 with malaysia and singapore joint 2nd with a small edge to SingaporeOriginally posted by Arena:Inodonesia's military are in a despair now.... due to their own dealings which caused a arms sanction and oso bad economiy.... how about thailand guys??
definitely true.Originally posted by Orcishwarrior:singapore airforce current status are quite firm as ASean best airforce in numbers, technological and training wise.
Number cum technology sophistication has already allow singapore to evolved in a credible air combat force.A bonus is the excessive regular training with friendly well-trained airforce from their Nato and other nations. It really enhance them in air combat strategy and
new ideas xchange from different nations.
fighter pliots in Countries around the region doesnt have this privillege.so my conclusion is RSAF is still the best in this region.
The next will perhaps be malaysia but they are still a considerable distance away from us even if the su-30/SH F-18 are eventually acquired these procurement will boost the malaysian C.pliot morale. As usual flying a combat aircraft is not diffcult for all pliots but the ability to make full use of its capabiliy is thus the most important factors and above all
what is your opinion

ya but will be lighter and be able to pull more G's then with a man inside mahOriginally posted by Orcishwarrior:well that is what singapore armed force is enter into the unmanned combat technology door.Regardless of how advance this unmanned technology can reach, its still control by man.![]()
Pulling more G's is not the only thing about unmanned combat aircraft. US and Sweden both are studying UCAV with "man-in-the loop" where an aircraft like 2 seaters Gripen or Vipers can control a couple of UCAVs. Humans are still required to do some roles where current or near-future AI piloted combat aircrafts will fail. I will believe that WVR, high Gs, dogfight engagements will become irrelavant in UCAVs vs UCAVs, as most of them will attempt to down opponents in BV ranges. It is also very difficult to build UCAVs that can dogfight well because the controlling human/computers need near 3D - 360 degree awareness. I still believe a human piloted fighters will easily down most UCAVs in dogfights.Originally posted by |-|05|:ya but will be lighter and be able to pull more G's then with a man inside mah
