but now they r sending medical team to Iraq..u can try to apply to go..im sure it will be gd money..but the risk is there -

they send medical team i can go meh? i jus applied for the ADF last friday.. so another six weeks i will go in liao... where is the ADF camp? then the ang pow money will come in when?

ADF is not Army Deployment Force nor some infantry unit attached to the air force. ADF actually is the acronymn for Army Developement Force. The role of the ADF is to evaluate new tactics and weaponry for the army. It is a fully regular company size unit and if my information source is not wrong, ADF members are cross trained in a variety of vocation such as infantry, armor and such. Please clarify what you are signing yourself up for?
I will not be surprised if the East Timor detachment is primarily AD. After all that is probably the closest the SAF will come to combat currently and hence the best place for field evaluations.
