  As the OP has totally missed the point that he didn't ask a question, I'm hoping NDU for him means "Nother Dumb Unit" and not "Naval Divers", someone so clueless on a UDT makes me shiver. Especially when you remember "D" stands for demolitions.

  Sorry bout the snippy tone sad, super long work week. Most of the time, they'll only allow NDU if you sign on, and if you did, you can request posting. If you didn't sign on, maybe they want you for something else? Anyway, as Red said, you can request posting in BMT, they got so few volunteers that they'll often tend to agree to it, though why anyone would want to join the horny and gory crowd, I've no idea. :P
