Why RSAF and not RoSAF?

  I was wondering, why Republic of Korea Air Force= RoKAF, Republic of China Air Force= RoCAF, but Republic of Singapore Air Force= RSAF and not RoSAF? Will get confused with the Royal Saudi Air Force or Royal Swedish Air Force?

  This tread also makes me ponder of another qns, why is the Army simply called Army and not the Republic of Singapore Army or RSA?
