Armoured Artillery Vehicles in spore?

hi , was juz wondering whether we haf any Armoured Artillery Vehicles in spore?
if haf? specs?
if not ? why?

well, the existence of these vehicles have yet to be acknowledged. All we know is they are based on the M109A6 Paladin chassis, turret is indigeneous designed with the 155mm gun based on the FH2000.
Just keep on the lookout if you are in the SAF training area. -

anyway the tot of amoured artilliery juz struck me so i tot might as well try my luck
anyone has any idea how a common armoured artillery vehicle works? as in operational role? diff from normal artillery battery?...juz curious

I wonder if SAF is going to adopt ST's LWSPH too? Talking about SP guns, US Marine Corp is thinking of buying some Caesar. If French has fallen out in favour with the US and Singapore suddenly became Bush's good friend, why not we sell them the LWSPH too? Sell them 40+ for trial and let them license built them

I quite sure that a small number of LWSPH will be bought for 21st Div. Would they then retire some Giat L105mm gun? These 105mm guns are still pretty new and can be heli lifted by the Pumas/Cougars. Just read from Janes that SA's G6 SP gun can reach a whopping 67KM... This could effectively be SG's answer to Astros II. If ST could extend the cargo round close to 80KM and develop a guided anti-tank munition, then SAF will have a counter-MLRS battery capability.
Losvoor-based howitzer makes its debut
The formal unveiling of the new 67km-range 155mm self-propelled (SP) howitzer system, developed in South Africa from the Losvoor technology base program (whose existence was first revealed more than five years ago - see IDR 1/1998, p16), was staged at the IDEX exhibition at Abu Dhabi in March. Now officially designated G6-52, the new system is the most advanced of a family of three substantially upgraded versions of the G6 wheeled SP howitzer on offer from Denel (see IDR 11/2001, pp63-70), and can theoretically provide 1,720km2 of fire support cover from a single position.

most probably... SAF will design and build its own arty rather then purchase G6 from SA...
afterall... ST is capable in arty design and production... i sincerely believe that if they really wanted to... they could design and build a much longer range gun if they feel there is a need...
thus far... ST already have cargo round with 32 submunition DPICM and has been testing out GPS guided arty munitions...
it remains to be seen if ST could combine the 2 plus a new charge system like those isrealis are developing for a devastating ultra long range GPS guided DPICM cargo round.... with a top range exceeding 80km... HAVOC LOR>.......
if that happens...

Let's not get so enamoured by the G6 system. Sure, the G-6 is a bloody long ranged weapon, but at max range of 67km, I'd sure like to know what is the accuracy of the projectiles? (remember, dispersion increases as range increases for unguided projectiles) At such a range, the projectile would need to be guided to be effective, otherwise you would need a large amount of ammo to service each target at such ranges. Remember too, that the rounds which can fire to such ranges are special rounds (V-LAP rounds) and are going to cost quite a bit more.
Oh, by the way, our SPH is a -39 cal system. -

the SAF probably think its good way to dispose the FH88... by combining it with the chasis we got from USA... then SAF can get more FH2000 52 cal... guns to replace those FH88...
but ... is there anything to stop them from putting FH2000 onto the chasis in the future? or are they practiceing their skill with the FH88 first and see if the chasis can tahan the 52cal FH2000....
secondly... an SPH would prove more mobile plus reduce manpower need to man each gun... we might even get more SPH per arty BN then tow arty BN.
lastly... once ST finetuned their GPS arty rounds... perhaps we could see a possible effort to increase the arty's range once accuracy has been resolved... -
