i agreed, my BMT 10+ ago @ Tekong was a nightmare, bookout oso by RPL...sometimes hv to climb from 1 RPL to another in pitch dark with fullpack, stand under d sun or rain...now got shelter, aircon, TVOriginally posted by Snipermarksman:Some highlights are:
Lots of lecture and test: Military Law, Map Reading etc
Weapon Training: GMPG, SIG Sauer P226 pistol(used by US Navy
SEALS)
Most Siong : Unarm Combat
Others: POW handling, Section training
+ lot of others of interesting stuff for you to find out
MP training is not that siong when compared to the BMT 10+ years ago where lot of tekan occurs and very little free time. Probably the BMT has less tekan session now more free time, so MP course seems siong.
After your course, posting depends on your luck and background
to places like Istana,SAFDB, Motor Cycle platoon, external unit etc
Most people whor reamain in SAFPU will attend a basic 1 month precision drill course.
Is basically a rather enjoyable and interesting course. After course, experience between MPs may varied due to different job assignment.
The dogs are not handle by MPs. The dogs are handle by dog handler who attend 1 month dog handling course.Originally posted by greyskymorning:i agreed, my BMT 10+ ago @ Tekong was a nightmare, bookout oso by RPL...sometimes hv to climb from 1 RPL to another in pitch dark with fullpack, stand under d sun or rain...now got shelter, aircon, TV
