What are your favourite 3 knives and why?
Here is my absolutely cliched answer! The Trifecta of folding knives.
Rick Hinderer XM-18 3.5"/XM-24 4" Spanto blade: Crave worthy knife not just for the apparent ergonomics (from what I read, not yet owned it), but also for the interesting cross between Tanto and Spear point blade. Can personalise the G-10 scales some more (got glow in the dark ones)!
Chris Reeve Sebenza Large: What can I say, this 21 year old design is the Rolls Royce of pocket folders. Refined and Sophisticated, I might be reluctant to actually use it for EDC though. We'll see.
Strider SMF Tiger Stripe blade: 4" of badass blade! The antithesis of the Sebenza. Use it and abuse it, the Strider can take it all and ask for more. Old design but proven in military use since its inception. EDC it and don't be afraid to use it.
you have expensive tastes, my friend.... :D
i'm considering buying a SMF at the moment... problem is, if end up being "illegal" to carry, it would be wasting away in a drawer in my house...
Haha, yes I really like the expensive stuff. However, I also have a Benchmade Rift, a ZT0550 2nd Gen, and ZT0300 making its way to me as we speak. I don't think anybody will notice that I'm carrying a folding knife in my pocket if I don't take it out and wave it around for no reason. Having said that, I'm leaning towards 3.5" blades or less now. Just because they are less conspicuous in the pocket. Just a little haha
I have just bought another 2 knives, but these ones are entry level in price.
1. Spyderco Tenacious
2. CRKT Ripple, designed by Ken Onion.
Will post photos when they arrive.
