  yup...its coming real fast...National Service for me...anyone going soon? which camp? what date huh?

  i'm thru with it long tinme ago liao.
  think it would most likely be tekong school one or school two.
  
  mono intake would be for guardsmen and commandos , infantry, armour,artillery,combat engineers.......
  
  bedok camp, hendon camp, amoy quee, selarang camp, bukit gombak camp, gulliemard camp, lim chu kang camp...

  Sorry , im slow . But does it mean that after tekong , u cant enter infrantry , guard , combat engineer..etc? It seems to mi that a large portion of the pool of recruits came from Tekong.....

  hang on for a while if you juat want to be a "low-profile"guy.
  
  hang on for around 5 to 6 more months
  if you want to be a specialist,
  
  hang on longer, maybe 11 months more,
  if you want to be an oc-fer.
  
  my bet would be if you dun want to waste your time,
  or want time to go faster,
  during your ns, try to go for officer course.
  
  personally i feel going on course makes time pass faster and live more enjoyable.

  to all those entering army soon, all i can say is take good care of yourselves. i've served my time and will leave the service on 21st july. given the nation 2 1/2 years of my life already.

  nope. tat onli means that u got more places u could end up including those.

  For mono intake, you do your BMT in the unit, pass out as a private, continue on for your vocation training/commander training and eventually return to the same unit as a men/commander. You will be together with the same peers you had during your BMT.
  
  For some units, if you enter mono intake, you can't be a commander, only men.
  
  For BMTC, depending on which month of the year you enter, only certain vocations are available. You can go to the commander's school (SISPEC or OCS) from BMTC if you are selected.
