they veri much do the same things as guys in bmt. but o cos there r differences when it comes to ippt and soc test stds to be met. -

if u sign on service side (technician, senior tech) then it'll be a 10 yr contract
guys are bonded to it for 5 yrs minimum coz for a regular is 2 1/2 yrs NS X2 = 5yrs of NS liability.
not sure abt gers though -
As 4 wat i know, Navy got the best benefit, i nearly got in but i give up last min, cos my ex told me it wld b tough.

from what i know not many gals can get into combat units.
da closest they can get 2 a combat unit is combat support i.e Artillery, Signals etc or hold a logistics post in a combat unit i.e QM, MTO etc
mostly is engineering or logistics
not 2 sure bout AF n Navy
4 gals da bond is 3 yrs if i'm not wrong
of coz it comes wit da premium plan
(tats wat i heard)
if u have further queries can call mindef or go down 2 CMPB and get a clearer picture

my sis sign on in navy,it's 6 yrs pact..very long leh...though she's not happy wif her collegues there,still got to bear wif it...then she went 2 c a fortune teller,he say tt my sis can't quit this job,if she quit,then it's diff 4 her 2 find a job...
