Attitude in today's singaporeans.

  The mid-year exam were over recently, and there were several in my class who did not do well. However, instead of thinking of working harder, most saught the way of simply just going overseas to study, simply because they had the cash. Makes me wonder what will happen when saf mobilises. How many would run away.

  what has wanting (or needing or watever) to go abroad to study gotta do with running away from our military duties?

  i tink for e younger generation.. their thinking are more diff and more liberal...

  I will protect Singapore lah, i may go overseas to study or work but I will still protect Singapore when needed. Because this is home. I look around the world and there is not one country that I find better than Singapore. No, Singapore is not perfect but the peace that it has given me compared to the other countries in this world makes it the best place to live. Whats more important than knowing your family is secure and safe? And i wan to be part of that security.

  How do you run away? You still have to apply exit permit to leave Singapore.
