i'm not too crazy about the RMAF either..but then again..that report was in 1997. Lotz can happen in 5-6 years.

during the FDPA exercise, apparently the aussies pilot in their hornets have reported that in BVR engagements, the Migs are calling off their shots way before the hornet can get theirs in.
but the aussies also mentioned the difference btw the RSAF and RMAF pilots attitudes in debriefing...... the RSAF will seek the aussies pilot out and ask them how they were being shot down in mock combat..... while the RMAF pilots do not even know what happened....
don't flame me here.... i am just posting the comments from the aussies...... -
the reason why they didnt bother to ask the ausssies is because... they dont think the aussies will tell them the truth, somemore so difficult like duck and chicken talk like that...... and....
why would they want to consult the aussies when they can consult
their bomoh??

I am aware the Fulcrums are very lethal at close rng furball but having it waxed F18 by fox1 shots from the mig? now that really got my attention. -
ah...... the migs might be calling off shots before the hornets..... whether there is a kill or not, that i have yet to find out. it would be interesting in 2007 FDPA exercise where the su-30s are in for the 1st time......... maybe the british would bring their EF-2000 here too....... a BVR engagement of SU-30 vs EF-2000 would be interesting........ let see whether the EF-2000 is as good as what the brits claimed.....and whether the supposely ratio of 4.5 to 1 holds.....bias or not bias....time will tell.....

Supposedly the MiG-29 can pull up to 12gs. F-16s has a g-limiter that limits it to 9. TECHNICALLY, the fulcrum can pull tighter turns. Its whether the pilot can do it or not.

you mean.... wat is the chances of a pilots being able to survive a 12G pull...? indeed... i also wonder, technically most pilots pull 7 to 8 G also face white liow...
but if i am correct.. the isrealis have managed to remove the G limiter in their falcons... so... if needed, i think RSAF also can do the same... but isit wise? -

just curious...is this info on the website? i wonder how RSAF pilots performed during cope thunder, red flag and stuff...
