No 1: Ghost Recon
Not bad. quite realistic you can kena killed without know who hit you.....like real scenario..... but must replay many times
No 2:Op Flashpoint
good not but too realistic until too long winded, sit in tonner talking also part of the game.....and buggy
No 3: Counterstrike
it's arcade, nuff said....
Flight Sim:
Falcon III is good...but too tough for me. Got Falcon 4 but no time to really play....
I liked the F19/F117A series. but F19 too fast on my PC liao..... -

Anyway, i like Steel Panthers. There are a lot of scenarios out there to download. For newbies like me, don't be afraid initially by the complex menu and game play. Try the first few tutorials. You can print out the manual from the CD.
For strategy game, i particularly like the close combat series, also Sudden Strike, a game developed by some german company. -

the civ series are one of the best strategy games.. though not as intensive as games such as panzer general...
i tried rise of nations.. boy, it's quite good.. it's like AOE, Civ, and Risk all combined... -

Operation Flashpoint will have an SAF mod soon. Downloadable from www.miw.com.sg if i am not wrong. According to the papers lar.
I played fleet command quite some time back. Basically its quite the "No tactics." More like a rush to keep fighters airborne, and missiles away. Crappy part was that I couldn't put the Aegis system to automatically shoot down the missiles.
Imagine this... Right click -> Engage with -> SM2
Shit too near... Right click -> Engage with -> CIWS
and u have say 50+ missiles inbound per volley?
Sub Command was fantastic. It's as close to a submarine as I will get. Unfortunately, it lacked role playing. Have to admit it, u can't play the Captain, the Conn, the Sonar, the Weapons and Countermeasures stations all at once, and expect to execute a flawless torpedo evasion. Of course, most people would rather just play the "captain" and just drive the boat around,sink ships and call it a day.
Best RTS game I played is still Sudden Strike. Its the best, together with its sequels up to blitzkrieg. Nothing like shoving a Tiger up a sherman's ass.
Crappiest RTS = WC3
Quite Crappy RTS = Command n Conquer Generals. (What strategy?)
