Berlin, Warsaw conclude MiG-29 transfer
Poland is set to receive its first five surplus MiG-29 air-defence fighters from Germany in September following protracted negotiations. For a symbolic EUR1 ($1.1) Poland will receive 19 MiG-29 single-seat and four MiG-29UB two-seat aircraft.

two different matters lah... germany is transfering surplus equipment for a token sum to foster goodwill...
russia is selling new equipment to raise hard currency.
besides, the russian package will surely include offsets, spare parts, tech support and m'sia would hope, tech transfer.
poland's only getting planes.
didn't Sg buy a whole bunch of retired m113 chasis for $1 each last time too from Uncle Sam?
