  Well, reactions in my unit ranged from "How the fuck did he find that out," to "Hahaha, he really believed that shit."
  
  I wouldn't say which parts, of course.
  
  If nothing else, it's a good primer on what other arms and services do and how they are organised. At least better written then SAF's own.

  Tim Huxley's an academic... and academics, among other reasons, write books to advance their careers.
  
  i don't think he makes much (if ANY) money from the books... it depends on the deal he has with his publisher...

  i think wats interesting and controversial and perhaps most important to us is the comparison he made between our armed forces and that of our neighbouring countries'. most of u get obsessed with wat he knows we know, but isnt it those tt he knows wich we dont more useful? o cos no one is going to validate wat he has written.. but it's indeed a good estimate of wat we are potentially facing.

  Yea but he does shed light on things like the political and organization of our armed forces.....pretty useful

  I'll not be suprise...But mostly I think he'll get them from the "speaker's corner" cos "Military Nuts" is not up when the book's published.

  Anyone knows if the publisher are coming out with a book on singapore's northern neighbour? I've already read their series on Indonesia...It seems that the TNI is a very political animal....

  oh that, i dunno what page oso, but it said sumthing about us taking over M'sia up to malacca, and securing the water points... so that m'sia can't cut the water supply.
